Perhaps you've heard the phrase 'beauty's only skin deep'. Whether it's a familiar phrase or your first time hearing it, you may be left wondering if that statement is true. It may even lead you to ask: What is true beauty?
If you're wondering about either of these, take a look at the Bible's book of 1 Peter Chapter 3 verses 3 - 4:
"Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God."
This verse communicates that, while we may 'fix up' our external appearance to make ourselves beautiful, our true beauty should come from who we are on the inside - the hidden person of the heart (who God has created us to be) - and from having (God's) peaceful spirit within us. These are the very adornments that are precious to God - our creator. Who better to define true beauty than the One who created us?
So, you see, beauty in fact is NOT only skin deep. It originates much deeper than that - from the hidden treasure God has placed in each of us. True beauty radiates from within - instead of merely from what we see on the outside.
Confidently embrace true beauty - from God's perspective.
Our brand, Bénir Boutique, strives to bless girls and women's lives by helping them realize their inner beauty, and that products serve only to enhance that beauty.
The BEAUTY you see is the beauty WITHIN.
~ Be Blessed.
